You can now send tags to MailChimp when someone subscribes through a ConvertPlus form. This helps you organize your contacts better inside MailChimp.
Now, when someone submits a form, ConvertPlus can send one or more tags to MailChimp along with their email address. These tags are automatically added to the subscriber’s profile in MailChimp.
This guide will show you how to use this new tag feature. Let’s get started!
Pre-requisites
Before you start, you need:
- ConvertPlus plugin 3.6.0 is installed and activated.
- Mailchimp addon 2.2.5 installed and your Mailchimp account authenticated on your WordPress site.
Note: You can read more about integrating MailChimp with ConvertPlus here.
Add MailChimp Tags to Your Campaign
To do this:
- Go to ConvertPlus > Connects and create a new campaign or edit an existing one.
- Name your campaign and select “Mailchimp” from the list of available third party services.
Note: You will only see this option if the MailChimp add-on is installed and connected.
Click on the “Next” button that appears once you’re done.
- On the next screen, you’ll see a list of tags from your Mailchimp account under “Select Tags”.
Note: If the “Select Tags” option isn’t visible here, please hard refresh the page.
You can select one or more tags that you want to apply to subscribers from this form.
These tags must already exist in your MailChimp account. You can create them from your Mailchimp dashboard.
After you’ve selected your tags, list, and optionally contacts, you can click on the “Create Campaign” button.
Using the Campaign in a Module
Once your campaign is ready, you can connect it to any form of your choice. To do so:
- Open any form of your choice from your Convert Plus dashboard.
- Select the campaign you just created here.
Save and publish this form.
Now, whenever someone submits this form, ConvertPlus will add them to your selected Mailchimp list along with the tags you set in the campaign.
That’s all! If you face any issues with the above, please feel free to contact us. We’re always here to help.
